The Story of Chinese Valentine's Day


Compare with the west valentine’s day, Chinese Valentine’s Day has much more differences. .Chinese people devoted their love on 7th July in lunar calendar. Without chocolate and roses, girls prefer to prey a good marriage in the evening of Chinese Valentine’s Day. The Chinese Valentine’s Day is existed because of a beautiful love story. The emperor in the heaven had 7 daughters. Once a day, they were taking bathes in the lake near a village. The cowherd named Yong noticed the 7 beautiful fairs, but he just preferred one of them. That girl wore green silk dressed. He was hiding in the bushes and stolen her cloths. After tooking the bathes, the other 6 girls wore their own cloths and flied to the heaven except the only girl who didn’t find the dress. She was naked and cried. At the same time, Yong gave the dress back to the girl, of course he looked at the girl’s naked body, the girl was shy, and thinking, at least, he was a handsome guy. Several days later, they got married.
The emperor missed her little daughter very much and there was a role in the heaven that the fairs couldn’t get married with a human being. The emperor was angry and dispatched two deities to take his daughter back.
So that, Yong lost his wife, they loved each other deeply that moved the emperor. He allowed the couple met once a year across the milky on 7th July
